Suburb of Algiers, 1994. Anya, 7 years old, lives her life as a little girl, barely aware of the tensions of the civil war tearing through the country. She has only one wish: for her father, a journalist on assignment, to come home in time for the Mouloud celebration. But the violence of reality gradually creeps into her daily life, shaking her childhood innocence.
