Director: RACHID BENHADJ

Algerian director, screenwriter. Born in 1949 in Algiers, it was in Paris that Rachid Benhadj first studied architecture at the National School of Decorative Arts, then cinema at the University.
Also a painter, he made several television films and documentaries in 1979. In 1992, he shot Touchia, which in 1994 won the Audience Award at the 4th African Film Festival in Milan, Italy.
He moved to Italy, where he still lives, and directed a medium-length film, L’Ultima cena (1995), as well as two of his last feature films.
He is a teacher in a school for film directors at the Academy of Cinécittà ACT MULTIMEDIA.
