Director: NORA HAMDI

Born in France in Argenteuil, Nora Hamdi is a French novelist, director, and producer. She lives and works in Paris. After studying Fine Arts, she began a short career as a painter for six years, which led her to writing novels and making films. She started with two short films, then published her first novel “Des poupées et des anges” which she adapted and directed into a film.

After five novels, three of which have been adapted into films, including “Des Poupées et des Anges” and “La Maquisarde”, her new feature film “La Couleur dans les Mains”, adapted to the present day, addresses a part of the author’s autobiographical arrival in Paris and a fictional part, inspired by the period when Algeria was one of the first victims of Islamist terrorism, before France.
