Leïla Macaire is a French director and photographer living in Paris. As a self-taught photographer, this visual language enables her to express her personal inquiries about the world. Identity and social diversity are two themes that currently recur most in her work, stemming from her upbringing in a multi-ethnic area. In her work, she alternates between documentary and fiction. These two approaches allow her to explore her interest in reality and aesthetic research.
